Dr. Emilyn Asinas

Dr. Asinas was born and raised in Santa Clarita, California. She attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help School and West Ranch High School, graduating from both with honors. For her undergraduate education, she attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biology and a minor in Studio Arts. She then moved to Omaha, Nebraska, to attend dental school at Creighton University’s School of Dentistry, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Continuing her training in the Midwest, she completed a two-year orthodontic residency program at the University of Minnesota, earning a Master’s degree. She defended her master’s thesis on “Osteoclast Precursor Variability from Mandible and Femur-Derived Bone Marrow Cells in Older Mice: A Descriptive Study.”

Dr. Asinas is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the California Association of Orthodontists. She is deemed as board eligible by the American Board of Orthodontics and is working towards becoming board certified. She is excited to be back home and work in the community she grew up in!

Dr. Emilyn loves spending time with friends and family, trying out new workout classes, traveling, and being a foodie. Don’t hesitate in recommending some of your favorite restaurants! She has a shih tzu named Appa (like the flying bison in “Avatar: The Last Airbender”) and a havanese named Nori. If you see Dr. Emilyn around feel free to say hello!
