Dr. Arshia Ashjaei

For Dr. Arshia Ashjaei, one of the most rewarding aspects of orthodontics is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life. He believes a beautiful smile can do more than improve appearance; it can boost confidence, enhance oral health, and positively influence how people feel about themselves. His approach to patient care focuses on building genuine relationships, understanding individual goals, and making each orthodontic experience comfortable and enjoyable.

Having spent much of his life in California, Dr. Ashjaei considers the Golden State home. After several years on the East Coast completing his specialty training, he is excited to return to California and serve patients in Southern California.

Dr. Ashjaei earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He then attended the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2019.

Following dental school, Dr. Ashjaei completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, gaining valuable experience treating patients with diverse and complex dental needs. He later pursued his passion for orthodontics at the University of Pittsburgh, where he completed a three-year residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and earned his Master of Dental Science degree.

Dr. Ashjaei is dedicated to advancing orthodontics through research, education, and lifelong learning. During dental school, he co-founded the Dugoni Pre-Dental Bootcamp, an initiative introducing aspiring students to dentistry. His commitment to research earned him the 2025 Charles J. Burstone Research Aid Award from the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation. He has also contributed to peer-reviewed scientific publications and presented his research at national orthodontic conferences.

As a member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) and the American Dental Association (ADA), Dr. Ashjaei is committed to staying current with advancements in orthodontic technology and treatment techniques. He strives to provide personalized, evidence-based care that helps patients achieve healthy, beautiful, and lasting smiles.

Outside the office, Dr. Ashjaei enjoys staying active, working out, and spending time with family and friends. An avid sports fan, he particularly enjoys soccer and football.

Traveling is another one of his passions. He loves discovering new destinations, experiencing different cultures, and exploring cities on foot. Whether visiting historical landmarks, wandering through museums, or discovering hidden gems, he is always eager for a new adventure.

A self-proclaimed foodie, Dr. Ashjaei enjoys trying new restaurants and exploring different cuisines. He's always happy to exchange restaurant recommendations and travel stories with his patients!
