Solution – If band or bracket is still attached to wire, leave it in place. If uncomfortable, place wax on it (if it comes out completely wrap brace or bracket in tissue)
Solution – Try to place wire back in place with tweezers. If that is not possible, clip wire with nail clippers behind last tooth to which is securely fastened, if any discomfort, place wax on it.
Solution – Use warm salt water rinses and/or Tylenol or Ibuprofen.
Solution – Sometimes caused by not wearing as prescribed. If facebow is bent, bring in at next appointment.

Solution – If appliance is sticking or poking, place wax on it.
• Brush 4 times a day, Morning, noon, dinner, bedtime.
• Brush under, above, behind and around ALL surfaces of the teeth AND braces.
• Brush inside and outside of top and bottom gums.
• Rinse mouth thoroughly after brushing.
Flossing at least every night will help keep your teeth and braces clean, which will also help keep your treatment time on track. If you can floss after every meal, even better!
Orthodontic Wax is specially designed to relieve pain caused by rubbing of the braces appliances. It is applied to create a barrier between the braces wires and your mouth.
